July brought record summer heat and thunder storms, sunshine and rain, a weekend getaway to a wonderful street art event, flowers and, as was to be expected, lots of work tobe done in between all that. But the vacation season is ahead!
The weather is back to spring and walking outside is possible again – so we made our first walk around the city and visited the walkway along the river. The graffiti there is well worth seeing!
The last of this year’s skiing trips – four wonderful days full of sun, snow and no crowds.
We returned to Leogang after a few years and found it a wonderful resort – so many slopes, great hotels, and an easy connection to Saalbach and Hinterglemm made for a perfect late ski trip.
One day I’ll stay in this hotel “room”. It looks so cozy and fun!
It’s my favorite hotel in Austria – the Hotel Daniel in Vienna. Doesn’t it look inviting?
A summer memory – walking through my hometown, Graz.
One more summer memory – driving up to the Riegersburg in Southern Styria!
A memory of some days – driving into the New Year and a skiing vacation and seeing the blue sky for the first time this year 🙂
A visit to the country side brought us to Pöllau – a pilgrims church with a wonderful garden all around.
And a lovely restaurant where we had an outdoor lunch!
I’d love to stay in a cottage like this – we passed this cottage while vacationing in Tyrol, Austria.
