While staying in the Netherlands, we decided to go and visit the Heineken brewery – taking the “Heineken Experience”.
It’s really a fun experience – from a motion cinema to the horses to the old brewery to the tasting rooms 🙂
A wonderful gate somewhere in the Netherlands – I sadly forgot where we took this photo.
One of the gardens in Haarlem we enjoyed seeing – on a hot summer day it would be an ideal spot to spend the afternoon.
Leaving from Haarlem to Amsterdam, we found the Central Station quite impressive.
And the trains were fast, on time and not expensive – an overall win and much easier than going by car.
A fun statue we came across in Zandvoort. We enjoyed walking along the beach and stumbled upon him – how wonderful!
Looking on to the windmills at Zaanse Schans in the Netherlands – unfortunately, the weather refused to cooperate but it’s been a fun afternoon nevertheless.
Visiting the windmills in Zaanse Schans was a fun part of visiting the Netherlands – it was a spur of the moment decision and the host at our bed and breakfast recommended it to us.
Quite touristy, but fun nevertheless!
One more photographs from the trip to the Netherlands – our one visit to a wind mill.
We get to take this picture in a windmill park – at Zaanse Schans – very nice, though the weather was not exactly cooperative.
One more photograph from our trip to the Netherlands in 2009 – this time from the visit to Den Haag.
We had some time we spent wandering about the city and admiring the buildings – especially this one!
