Looking back on December

It’s been a year of changes and challenges. Not too much was left unchanged, and cancelling plans was what we certainly did more of.

December 2020

December was no different there and brought no traditional festivities. Instead, there were lots of cookies, more walks and more connecting over the distance.

We’re all hopeful for the new year and the new hope it brings – and the vaccine. I’m counting down the days!

May it be a good year for all of us, full of good health and good news only.

Looking back on June

June passed by in what seemed a minute – with record setting temperatures and sunshine, events and iced coffee, greenery and all that life brings.

My favorite were the tiny clay figurines in the upper left. We found them at a gardening show and just had to get them. And then there were a few days off!

Hurtigrute Nordnorge

I’m back after a day long powerless – the freezing rain had caused trees to break and topple and take the power lines with them.
Cold and uncomfortable – but the power is back on and I’m back again!

This photo was taken at Molde in Norway from board of the Hurtigruten Norlys – travelling from Bergen to Trondheim. Meeting another Hurtigruten ship was always a welcome sight – and all Hurtigruten ships were welcomed by the people we met.

Graveyard walk

Something completely different today – a photograph of yesterday’s walk.
We visited the graveyard and brought flowers to my relative’s graves – the nice weather and the early afternoon made for a nice walk.
