As we drove along the Göta Canal through Sweden, we came along a lot of lock gates – from simple manual ones to high-tech and multiple gates.
We loved to watch the gates open and close – and even more we loved the bridges along them!
And the last photograph of Läckö Castle – taken from the lake. We’d love to have taken a boat tour, but it seems those were cancelled…
Staying in Norrqvarn, Sweden, this was the view from the hotel terrace. It was wonderful to have dinner out there – and no mosquitos, too!
It’s a Viking ship replica – just beside Läckö Slott.
There was nobody to explain around but a sign – it looks like it’s used for teaching.
Something different for a change – the view from our backyard a few days ago. The sun was coming in through the morning fog – it’s warm and sunny in a late Indian Summer, but the fog reminds us it’s really autumn.
A quick glimpse inside Läckö Slott – it was the most wonderfully sunny day and we decided we’d rather walk around the castle than go inside…
A view from a bridge in Lidköping – driving along the Götha Canal got us a lot of wonderful sights.
